Art in Year 4

This week in Year 4, the children have been busy modelling their own canopic jars as part of our art topic, sculpture. We have explored the purpose and symbolism of canopic jars before designing our own. We used pinch pot techniques to form the jar bases, carefully shaping and smoothing the clay before adding lids inspired by the Four Sons of Horus.
