Adventures with Naughty Bus

This term in Year 1, we’ve been exploring the brilliant book Naughty Bus by Jan and Jerry Oke — and what a mischievous little bus he is!

To help bring the story to life, we took our very own Naughty Bus outside… and he couldn’t wait to show us just how naughty he can be!

First, he bounced along the tyres! Then he zoomed down a big ramp, picking up speed as he went. After that, he somehow managed to climb all the way to the top of the climbing frame. Next, he rumbled through some crunchy leaves and got himself all muddy!

Just when we thought he might be finished, Naughty Bus whizzed over to the slide. Not once, not twice, but THREE times he went down! The children found this hilarious! 

To finish off his wild adventure... he had a ride on somebody’s bike!  Naughty Bus just couldn’t resist one last bit of mischief.

The children absolutely loved seeing Naughty Bus in action and had so much fun using exciting words to describe what he got up to. This activity has helped us bring our ideas to life and sparked lots of fantastic conversation in the classroom.

We can’t wait to see where Naughty Bus ends up next!
